Houston Dash at Utah Royals - Staff picks

The Houston Dash are on the road again tonight for a meeting with expansion side Utah. We asked our staff to weigh in how the match up between the Dash and Royals will go.

Rudy - 1-1 draw
(Record: 3-1)

Houston is in a rebuild under Fran Alonso. Things went a bit bananas last week and the club got thumped by Portland. I expect them to regain confidence at home but a draw sounds fair away from home.

Manny - 3-1 Dash win
(Record: 2-2)

The Dash will look to bounce back from a horrible defeat at Portland. Luckily for the Dash, players are coming back from injuries and defense reinforcements are joining the team. The icing on the cake is that Utah is struggling well.

Dustyn - 2-2 draw
(Record: 2-2)

Houston improved their defense so they should be much better, starting tonight, on that end. Utah has struggled this season as well so this game could be a good battle.

Joey - 2-2 draw
(Record 1-2)

Two of the worst teams so far this season facing off in a match where they both desperately need 3 points. Unfortunately, neither team is very good at doing that.

Gribbs - 2-1 Dash win
(Record: 1-3)

Coming off an ugly defeat to Portland, the Dash are primed for a comeback against a Utah Royals side that has struggled this season. The same can be said of Houston so a draw isn't out of the realm of possibility, but I think the Dash edge out the home side narrowly.
