Like the Houston Dynamo, 2023 has gone far beyond our expectations for Bayou City Soccer. It’s been over 9 months since we kicked off the website when Dynamo Theory was dropped by SB Nation. The transition has had a learning curve but maybe not as rough as we anticipated, mostly because of the support and love that you, our readers, give us. We’ve also been helped by the people who have stepped in financially and believe in what we do, to strive to be the best independent source covering Houston soccer.

Who is Ugly Guppy?

First, Ugly Guppy is a name that you will never forget. Ugly Guppy will help you stand out in a crowd with the amazing work that they do. Ugly Guppy is the go-to-shop for screen printing and embroidery services in Houston. Houston born and raised, Carlos Aguilera created Ugly Guppy more than 20 years ago, while serving as a first responder for the city of Houston. He found himself creating custom shirts for his fire department out of his garage, a hobby that would turn into a business due to the quality that he was providing. Some of Carlos’s friends and relatives are Houston Dynamo season ticket holders and like most of us, he has enjoyed seeing the team switch gears from past years. And as a proud Mexican American, how the club interweaves with his Hispanic heritage. We look forward to this partnership with Carlos and Ugly Guppy and hope that you will make them your trusted choice for embroidery, screen printing, and promotional products in Houston.
