The Houston Dash are on the road in Los Angeles for a Friday night showdown. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against Angel City FC.

Rudy - 2-2 draw
(Record: 1-1)

I’m really looking forward to tonight’s Dash vs. Angel City matchup. Both teams are unbeaten and trying to set a new tone after missing the playoffs last year, so dropping points isn’t an option. It feels like this one could be wide open, back and forth, with plenty of goals.

Dustyn - 2-1 Dash loss
(Record: 1-1)

This will be a big test for the Dash, on a shorter week. Houston has not conceded a goal yet this season but Angel City’s offense can be very dangerous. If the Dash can get a point in this match, or even all three, there will really be some buzz about how good this team can be.

Manny - 2-1 Dash win
(Record: 2-0)

This top-of-the-table clash will determine who takes sole possession of first place. Both teams come in with strong form, but the advantage goes to the Dash. Houston has already proven itself against a dangerous side like the Wave, while questions remain about the level of competition Angel City has faced during its unbeaten run. The Dash look more battle-tested at this stage, while Angel City faces its first true test.

Joey - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 0-0)

Reality comes crashing down as the Dash go on the road to another undefeated team, Angel City. Sveindis Jónsdóttir and Kennedy Fuller will continue their hot start to the season with each scoring on a Dash team that’s still figuring out who they are, despite the strong early results.

Diego - 3-2 Dash win
(Record: 2-0)

This top-of-the-table clash brings a new level of excitement for two clubs that have more often experienced struggle than success. Angel City is likely to come in with pace and energy, but it may not be as effective against a Dash side that prefers a slower, more methodical approach.
