Houston Dash at Kansas City Current staff picks

The Houston Dash will try and halt their losing streak as they head to Missouri tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against the Kansas City Current.

Rudy - 1-0 Dash loss
(Record: 3-5)

At this point, I really don’t know who the Dash are, and what’s worse, I don’t think they know who they are either. While the results have been inconsistent, the lack of attacking threat is what’s really concerning. So, I’ll go with my gut here and my gut says KC gets the win at home.

Dustyn - 3-0 Dash loss
(Record: 5-3)

The Dash can’t score. They don’t possess the ball much and they aren’t a great passing team either. Kansas City is starting to find its form under Chris Armas. I don’t see how Houston gets a result in this one.

Manny - 2-0 Dash loss
(Record: 3-5)

After back to back losses, the Dash will have to face a red hot KC side who seem to have everything clicking after a rough start to the season. The Dash are still without main players up front and seemingly will have a huge task to overcome. It might take a miracle for a good result for the Dash.

Joey - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 2-2)

The Dash started hot but are now on a massive decline, failing to win in four while Kansas City is hitting their stride with three wins from their last four. Expect Kansas City at home to dominate and finish off plays with the best attacker in the league in Temwa Chawinga.

Diego - 2-1 Dash loss
(Record: 3-3)

The Dash continue to slide down the NWSL table as their strong early-season form begins to fade. Unfortunately for Houston, Kansas City is finding its rhythm after a slow start to the campaign. The Dash should deliver a stronger performance, but it still may not be enough to leave with all three points.
