HOUSTON DASH HEAD COACH FABRICE GAUTRAT

On the match:

"Utah, I thought, played really well. It was definitely not one of our best games. I think tactically I got it wrong, out of possession in the first half. So, I'll take that. I thought the second half was a much better response. We tweaked a couple things, and I thought players who came on were really bright. No pun intended, but Messiah (Bright), I thought really helped us in the second half to just hold the ball up a little more and progress the ball forward."

On Lisa Boattin making her debut:

"I'm really, really happy for Lisa (Boattin). She's been training really well, especially the last couple weeks. As you can see, she has tons of quality. Even her service from the corner kick, she is just a high-quality player. I thought she had a really positive performance."

On the impact of conceding an early goal:

"Especially off a set piece. We kind of knew that (could happen). It's early and then you're digging yourself a hole. So, we just got to move forward. We've done really, really well in the second part of the season. Now we just regroup. We got six (games) left and are excited to host Chicago at home next week."

On Avery Patterson and Lisa Boattin switching sides:

"That was just more from a set piece, and they just never had the chance to reposition back. As you know, Lisa (Boattin) is very left footed. Avery's (Patterson) is probably able to play more with both feet. So, it probably makes sense for Lisa to be on the left and Avery on the right. I just think it was more of a set piece thing that they just weren't able to get back."

On shifting focus to the match against Chicago:

"Jane (Campbell) said it best in the huddle. Which was pretty much, 'hey forget all the records and let's just go one game at a time.' We have Chicago at home. Let's put this behind us and we move forward."

HOUSTON DASH DEFENDER LISA BOATTIN

On making her NWSL debut:

"I'm really happy to make my debut. Of course, not the result I wanted, I prefer if we won the game, but this is the league (NWSL). The league is very competitive and that is what I like about playing here, but now we have to be focused on the next game."

On the speed of the match and the talent of the players:

"This league (NWSL) is really intense. There are a lot of transition moments and less time to rest. So, that is a big difference from, Serie A Women. After today I feel I need more training in order to be more prepared for the next game. I'm really happy because finally I made my debut, and I can't wait to play again."

On looking forward to the match against Chicago:

"We have to be focused on the next game. The NWSL is so competitive. You can win a match against a team first in the standings or lose to a team at the bottom of the table. We have to learn from our mistakes and try to find a solution to improve. We always think game-by-game and now we recover and move forward to next week."

HOUSTON DASH MIDFIELDER DELANIE SHEEHAN

On the match:

"It was obviously a tough one for us. We didn't start the game off too hot, but the second half was a better representation of what we're about. Now we're looking forward to our next match"

On building momentum for a postseason push:

"For us it's always been game-by-game. Whether we win, lose or tie, we're still looking at the game the same and trying to learn from it. That's the mentality we have, just game-by-game. We're trying not to look ahead too much and also not look back. We'll definitely look at tonight's match, learn from it and move on."

On the mindset after conceding an early goal:

"If you look at our past games, we've had a positive response when we go down in the game. So, I would like to say that it didn't affect us too much and we were back in it, but obviously giving up an early goal is a tough start to any game. We've done well to come back from that. It was just tough giving up two goals in the first half."

On the mentality in the locker room:

"We will definitely learn from today's match and look at it, but it's on to the next. We don't have time to sit and dwell on it."
