The Houston Dash have announced the signing of Italian international Lisa Boattin. The Italian joins on a contract through the 2027 season.

The 28-year-old spent the last eight seasons with Juventus in her home country of Italy. She made 227 appearances for the club, the second-most in their history. Boattin lifted 14 trophies at Juve: six league titles, four Italian Cups, and four Italian Super Cups.

“I’m excited to join the Houston Dash and begin this new chapter in my career,” Boattin said. “This is one of the top leagues in the world with incredible players and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s goals. I’m deeply grateful to Juventus for the years we shared and for helping me grow as a player and person. Since arriving in Houston, the fans and community have made me feel so welcome, and I can’t wait to give my best for them every time I step on the pitch.”

Boattin has 43 caps for Italy and recently featured for her country at this summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025. Italy made a run to the semifinals of the tournament, losing in extra time to eventual champions England.

Before joining BK Hacken and Crystal Palace she spent a season with Celtic in the Scottish Women’s Premier League where she won the League Cup and Scottish Cup. Larisey has also played for Valur in Iceland and Canadian clubs West Ottawa SC and Ottawa South United. She played collegiately at the University of Memphis.

“Lisa is a proven winner that recently led her country to the semifinals of a major international tournament. Her experience, technical ability and tenacity will bring an immediate impact to our team,” President of Soccer, Angela Hucles Mangano, said.  “Her arrival reflects our commitment to building a competitive and dynamic squad, and we’re proud that the diversity of our roster continues to reflect the global nature of the game. We can’t wait to see the energy and leadership she’ll bring to the team. We look forward to the first opportunity she can step onto the field at Shell Energy Stadium.”

Boattin is anpther signing in this window that fills a big need on Houston’s roster. Boattin should immediately start on the left side, opposite Avery Patterson, at the wingback position. Her versatility to defend as well as get into the attack makes her the perfect fit for the way Fabrice Gautrat and gives the Dash the complementary piece to Patterson on the left.

We sat down with Boattin to discuss her move to Houston in a special edition of the Bayou City Soccer Podcast. Give it a listen wherever you get your podcasts or on our YouTube page!
