Houston Dash vs Denver Summit staff picks

The Houston Dash will look for another win over an expansion club at Shell Energy Stadium. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against Denver Summit.

Rudy - 2-1 Dash win
(Record: 3-4)

This match is filled with exciting storylines, from the first-ever meeting between these two teams to the return of several former players to Houston. But beyond the headlines, both sides are still searching for consistency and trying to figure out how to turn performances into wins on a regular basis. Unlike the last rainy home match, Houston should have the perfect stage to showcase their quality in front of the home crowd, and I think they’ll reward the fans with a hard fought victory.

Dustyn - 1-0 Dash win
(Record: 5-2)

Denver is an expansion team and has struggled. One goal should be enough for the Dash to get three points in this one. But, they haven’t scored since April 3rd…

Manny - 1-0 Dash win
(Record: 3-4)

After three underperforming matches, the Dash have a chance to redeem themselves against a struggling Denver side. The Summit have great attacking talent but also lack defensive stability. With Kiki Van Zanten out, who will step up to score goals? The Dash should have enough to get the three points.

Joey - 1-1 draw
(Record: 2-1)

Neither team has looked impressive lately. The Dash are a better team, however they haven’t looked like scoring a goal in a few weeks now. Expect a boring match with a result neither team wants.

Diego - 1-0 Dash win
(Record: 3-2)

The Dash have had a rough return from the international break as they’ve picked up a lone point in three matches. They’re looking less and less like the team from the start of the season, however a win against Denver would be a small gust of wind to potentially keep the fire going.
