HOUSTON DASH HEAD COACH FABRICE GAUTRAT

On the match:

"Obviously, not ideal, this was a tough loss. With all the weather delays it's hard to get into a rhythm. We started the match really well. In training, we went over exactly what they were going to do on the long kicks, and we just didn't deal with it tonight and I think that kind of deflated us a little bit. We've had a trend of giving up really, really poor goals. That's been it. So, we just have to get back to work."

On Avery Patterson’s performance:

"Offensively, she is getting into more and more of a rhythm and you can see how dynamic she is. Whichever side. Whether you play her on the right or left, she can beat people, get up and down. I thought it was a very good performance from her, especially as she's coming back."

On Natalie Jacobs’ and Evelina Duljan’s return:

“Overall, good. They both added value to the game. They helped create chances. It's good to have them back and now we're getting deeper and deeper for this next stretch of games.”

HOUSTON DASH DEFENDER AVERY PATTERSON

On the game:

“Obviously, a disappointing result. That's obviously a tough point to drop. With every game like this, there are always things to learn and grow from. So, there's always going to be silver linings, but yeah, my thoughts, 15 minutes probably post-match are more disappointed and frustrated than anything better at the moment.”

On her goal:

“It was a good goal. It was kind of something that I had spoken to Fabrice (Gautrat) about before the game. Actually, we were kind of joking if we would see the step over move once or twice in the game. I said maybe more than once or twice. I mean that's kind of going back to my bread and butter, that's my step over and I saw an opening and I took it.”

On Natalie Jacobs’ and Evelina Duljan’s return:

“It's huge. They changed the game for sure when they came in and they looked great and healthy considering they've been out for, I don't even know how many games. It didn't even look like they missed a beat. So, it was great having them back.”

HOUSTON DASH DEFENDER NATALIE JACOBS

On the game:

"Obviously, disappointed that we didn't get the win. After games like this, it was a crazy flow, but we have to look at the good moments because there were good moments and try to prevent things that let us down in the game. How can we move forward as a team is most important right now."

On coming back from injury:

"I was super happy to be able to come back, especially with Evelina (Duljian). We've been together in our recovery steps, so going in together was fun and working to get back has been a good process with her. I'm always thankful when I can go out there and be part of this team and it was fun to share that with her as well."
