Houston Dynamo at LAFC staff picks

The Houston Dynamo face a difficult Sunday night match tonight in Los Angeles. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against LAFC.

Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-3)

After a gritty win against Colorado, Houston needs to show up and get a victory away against a team that is always considered a contender. Thi is a good opportunity for Ben Olsen’s team to have a good showing and make teams think twice about facing the Dynamo.

Rudy - 1-1 draw
(Record: 3-7)

Houston Dynamo have looked much more organized in recent games, winning five of their last six, in all competitions. LAFC on the road is never an easy task, and it will require a near-perfect performance. Still, I think the Dynamo can find a way to come away with a point away from home.

Joey - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 3-3)

The Dynamo are in strong form defensively and are playing against a deflated LAFC team following a disastrous midweek game against Toluca. Expect some rotation from LAFC as the Dynamo dominate both sides of the ball against a team they tend to have some success against in the Ben Olsen era.

Dustyn - 2-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 3-7)

LAFC come into this match after a midweek visit to Mexico that ended in a heavy defeat. Even with that, this LA side is very deep and talented. The Dynamo showed they can play with them in the match in Houston earlier this season but I think LAFC put their Champions Cup elimination behind them with a win tonight.

Manny - 1-1 draw
(Record 3-6)

After a hard-fought win last week, the Dynamo have a good opportunity to continue that form against a weakened LAFC side. LAFC are looking for redemption and trying to get things back on track after being eliminated from the Champions Cup earlier this week. Without Denis Bouanga, LAFC will play a lot differently and the Dynmao can take advantage of it.

Juan - 1-1 draw
(Record 5-5)

LAFC are at their weakest point so far this season, but they’re still a very talented squad with several good options at important positions. Houston have been trending upwards but have yet to produce a convincing performance. An away result against one of the MLS Cup favorites could provide some confidence going forward.

Dynastats - 2-0 Dynamo loss
(Record 7-3)

LAFC may be fatigued, but they still have a very strong squad with plenty of depth. I see them shutting out the Dynamo and securing all three points
