Houston Dynamo at Real Salt Lake staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will try for their seventh win in their last eight matches as they visit Utah tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against Real Salt Lake.

Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 7-3)

I’m predicting a gritty win in Utah. In the last two matches the Dynamo showed great defensive composure, and if they can keep that consistency while putting away their chances, they could come back to Texas with three points. 

Rudy - 1-1 draw
(Record: 3-8)

Houston got a massive boost over the weekend, but back to back road victories are not very common in this league. It’s not impossible, but definitely not common. With that said, RSL and Houston have built a rivalry where both sides leave everything on the field. Still, the Dynamo have a real chance to steal a point in Utah.

Joey - 2-2 draw
(Record: 4-3)

The Dynamo are coming off a massive high while RSL are coming off a disappointing loss to Dallas. RSL will desperately look to get right before sending Diego Luna and potentially Zavier Gozo to the World Cup. Expect an even game between two good, or great, teams in the Western Conference.

Dustyn - 2-2 draw
(Record: 3-8)

The Dynamo are flying high after their win in Los Angeles but the schedule has to be catching up to them. It’s never easy to play in altitude, especially after a match just three days ago, but Houston should have enough to battle for a point against RSL.

Manny - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record 3-7)

After a standout performance this past weekend, the Dynamo have an opportunity to continue climbing the table. Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake have struggled in recent matches, particularly defensively.. If Houston can replicate the level they showed against LAFC, they will put themselves in a strong position to come away with another victory.

Juan - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record 5-6)

Yes, Houston finally have momentum, but good stretches end eventually. RSL are another team that is competing for those top seven playoff spots, and away from home, getting a result might be too much for the Dynamo.

Dynastats - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record 7-4)

This Dynamo team looks to have figured themselves out and will be looking to get their 7th win in 8 games. While RSL is never an easy place to visit, this Dynamo team has real momentum and will bring all three points back to the Shell.
