On the match:
“It was a tough one. I believe we played well enough to get something out of the game, whether it was a draw or even a win with the chances that we had. We played against a good team. We did enough tonight, but we did not get the points. We controlled the match at times and put St. Louis under pressure. In the last couple of months, the guys have been good at understanding the plays that matter in both boxes, and tonight we just fell a little fell short. We took a bad touch, and it went right to their player for the first goal. Their second goal was a deflection, and it went right to their player again. So, in some ways, it was their night. We have had a few of those ourselves too. We have got to take this one on the chin and get back to work. It will be nice to be home. It was a long road trip for these guys. It is a lot to ask, and a bunch of them put in a good shift and emptied the tank for us. This result is not ideal, but we will be back in Houston soon to prepare for San Jose."
On bouncing back from the loss:
“I trust that this group will be fine when it comes to bouncing back. As I said, we have been on the road for five or six days, and it will be nice for these guys to get home to see their families, their loved ones and get back to work on Tuesday."
On the team’s morale:
“The team’s morale is fine. We took three points from two away matches that were against really good opponents. By and large, that is not bad in our league. I love that the expectations have changed now and that we need to win every game. That is healthy. We played well, and the team gave their everything tonight. We were just unlucky in not getting something out of the match.”

“There are some positive takeaways from this match. The team kept trying and kept pushing St. Louis back, but we never gave up. We knew it would be difficult on this road trip, playing at Vancouver and then at St. Louis, a team that has been picking up their form. It was a tough match tonight, and we had our chances, but that is just how the game goes sometimes. Unfortunately, we could not win tonight, but we are pleased with the spirit of our team."
On the team’s depth:
“I believe the team's depth is what is going to take us where we want to be. It is about every player on the team showing up and contributing. That is the key for us to be successful. Guilherme has a lot of quality, and we know how much he has given us so far this season, but the other guys can also help the team in many ways. There are a lot of positives to take out of tonight. Of course, with the loss, we are not happy, but we had a good trip, and we are going to keep pushing."
On the team’s success and being near the top of the table:
"It is not a surprise to us. That was our goal from the beginning of the year. The beginning of the season was somewhat difficult with injuries, which impacted us finding our best way of playing. But the top is where we wanted to be, and we will keeping working to stay here. We know it is not easy to get there, but it is even harder to stay there. But, as I said, for us, it is not a surprise because it is where our locker room wants to be, which was everyone’s goal to start the season.”
