Houston Dynamo at Vancouver Whitecaps staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will try to shock the MLS world and get a win in Vancouver tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against the Whitecaps.

Cristian - 3-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 6-18)

Thomas Müller is the X-factor in this matchup. Houston has yet to show they can win convincingly, and it’s hard to see that changing today.

Rudy - 3-2 Dynamo loss
(Record: 9-15)

Houston showed heart and fight in their comeback against Austin last week. I believe they’ll bring that same spirit to BC Place, where the crowd will be buzzing for Thomas Müller’s debut. Still, it may not be enough to earn a positive result against one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Joey - 3-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 8-15)

Vancouver are buzzing over their new signing, Thomas Müller, who is one of the most talented players to ever sign for an MLS club. Expect BC Place to be a party as Müller debuts and tears the Dynamo apart.

Dustyn - 2-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 8-16)

This could be the proverbial nail in the coffin for the Dynamo’s season. I just don’t see how they get three points, or even one, on the road against a very good Vancouver team in what will be a raucous environment.

Manny - 3-0 Dynamo loss
(Record 7-15)

Houston showed grit battling back from a 2–0 deficit last week, but falling behind against a strong Vancouver side could be too steep a climb. With a German legend set to make his debut and add firepower for the Whitecaps, it may not be a fun night for Dynamo fans.
