Houston Dynamo at Vancouver Whitecaps staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will try to get their fifth straight win as they are north of the border in Canada tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 10-6)
This is the game that will dictate if the Dynamo can actually hang in the top three. Guilherme is on fire, so is the defense. Vancouver is a good team and even with a wobbly form of late, is still a difficult team to beat at home, but not impossible for a hot Houston.
Rudy - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 4-13)
Houston Dynamo are on a roll, with four straight wins and zero goals conceded. Impressive. Late-night trips to Vancouver have been entertaining for the Dynamo, but I don’t expect many goals tonight. I’m leaning toward Houston falling to the top team in the West. A win would be a statement, but a loss wouldn’t be the end of this team’s momentum.
Joey - 1-1 draw
(Record: 7-5)
Winning five in a row is a heavy task for the Dynamo as they travel to Vancouver who sit top of the Western Conference. Despite sitting top, the Whitecaps are not in the best form as they try to cope with the loss of Sebastian Berhalter. The Dynamo are in the best form in MLS and will look to get another positive result, which a road point absolutely would count as such.
Dustyn - 1-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 5-12)
The Dynamo are rolling and now they have to play on the turf in Vancouver in a top of the West clash. I think this is a cagey match with both teams battling. Ultimately a Thomas Muller penalty ends up the difference to bring a halt to Houston’s streak.
Manny - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record 5-11)
The Dynamo are in the best form they have been in quite some time and tonight they will have a battle to see who will be first in the West. It will be a game of margins. Houston have a lot on their side with the top players being in form and Guilherme taking the forefront of that. Vancouver played on Sunday night, giving Houston a slight edge on fitness. I do see the Dynamo getting a statement win.
Juan - 1-0 Dynamo loss
(Record 8-8)
Houston have been great at grinding games out and keeping it close; I don’t expect that trend to change against Vancouver. However, now that Duncan McGuire will be the undisputed starting striker, it’s time to see if he can provide the final touch that the position has been missing for some time now. I’ll have to see it to believe it though.
Dynastats - 1-0 Dynamo loss
(Record 8-9)
With a home record of 7W-1L-1D, going on the road at BC Place is never an easy game, especially when this Vancouver team is in its rhythm. Houston should give Vancouver a good fight, but I still feel like the Whitecaps keep all three points in this one.
