Houston Dynamo vs Austin FC staff picks

The Houston Dynamo are looking for their first win over an in-state rival this season. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against Austin FC.
Cristian - 3-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 8-5)
Houston played well against D.C. but it wasn’t enough to get the three points. Austin played really well against Seattle midweek and will probably keep that momentum going coming to Houston. If the Dynamo can capitalize on their opportunities they might come out with a draw but I don’t see a victory for the orange tonight, unfortunately.
Rudy - 2-2 draw
(Record: 3-11)
Houston hasn’t found a way to win in their last three regular-season games, and tonight’s matchup against Austin FC might be no different. The rivalry tends to bring plenty of excitement and goals, so I don’t expect this to be a boring game. I’m hoping either Duncan McGuire or Ezequiel Ponce can find their first goal of the season for Houston, but I foresee another one-point night for the Dynamo.
Joey - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 5-5)
The Dynamo had all the tools to beat D.C. United on Wednesday, but just fell flat. Expect them to embrace the pressure and put on a big performance to kick off a needed hot run of form down the stretch of the season.
Dustyn - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 3-11)
I’m expecting a good crowd tonight, one that will spur on the Dynamo in this match up. They need to be picking up three points in their home matches, especially in a derby against Austin.
Manny - 2-2 draw
(Record 4-9)
Houston hasn't been clinical in front of goal, both before and after the league's restart. They'll have opportunities to find the back of the net against Austin, but the visitors should create chances of their own. If the Dynamo can take the lead, they'll need to do a better job of seeing out the match, something that has proven difficult in recent games.
Juan - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record 7-7)
Houston simply have little offensive power to score more than two goals in a game right now. Austin will be able to neutralize whoever Houston throw at them tonight.
Dynastats - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record 7-7)
Austin haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 5 games, losing 3 of them. While they did win against a struggling Seattle in the midweek, I see the Dynamo getting a two goal win in front of a packed Shell, with Guilherme getting back on the scoresheet
