HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On Ondrej Lingr’s performance:

"(Ondřej) Lingr gives everything on every play, and it is nice because he is willing to do anything for the team. I have played him in a bunch of positions, and he scored his goal really well tonight. His best spot is probably as that second forward in a 4-4-2. He is comfortable playing underneath and can easily get into the box. He is fearless and willing to do anything."

On Ezequiel Ponce’s performance:

"You can see the bench and the reaction from everybody when (Ezequiel) Ponce scores that goal. He does so much, and the guys really appreciate what he brings to this team both on and off the field, and in and out of possession. We all know that, as a DP striker, goals matter, so it is nice to get that first one out of the way."

On finding success in the US Open Cup:

"It is game-by-game in the Open Cup. It is different from the league—is it on a Tuesday or Wednesday, is it home or away, and player availability varies. The Open Cup is all about finding the right recipe, and it is fun. Louisville comes here after an upset over Austin, so they will be looking to do it again against another MLS team."

On this result being a stepping stone to more success:

"Winning is contagious, especially here at Shell Energy Stadium. We are trying to make this a place where we get all the points and advance, and overall, we have played pretty well at home. The overall results will change—I believe that. We have to get some bodies back and find a winning mentality in MLS play, but this win will not hurt."
