HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On the result:

“The performance was a good one overall. If you look at the data, it does not mean much, but it is pretty good. But in the end, you have to reward yourself, score goals and make plays on both ends in the big moments that can change the game. The performances are there, but we are not finding ways to win, and that will click at some point. I have been clear that that we wanted to take Leagues Cup seriously, win and advance, but this has also been about figuring out who we are. We saw some stuff tonight, went through some different things and there was a lot that we worked out. Now we have a chance against Pachuca to build some momentum into what is the most important game of the season right now, and that is Austin and the eight MLS games remaining.”

On Pedro Cruz’s first team debut:

“You can see that (Pedro Cruz) is real. He is going to be a good goalkeeper for this Club at some point. He is calm, good with his feet and makes good saves. I do not think he could do anything to stop the first goal, and we will have to take a look at the second one. Tonight was a good experience for him, and he is thankful for the opportunity. I have talked about the relationship between the first team and Dynamo 2, and we are going to continue to build on it. Whether it is Pedro, Felipe (Andrade) or Femi (Awodesu), these guys are going to be a part of this thing.”
