Houston Dynamo vs San Diego FC staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will look for their third straight win in all competitions tonight at Shell Energy Stadium. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against San Diego FC.
Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 5-1)
Houston enters this midweek matchup riding the momentum of a much-needed road win, boosting confidence as they return home to face San Diego. The visitors are going through a rough patch, and facing an inspired Dynamo side could give the advantage to the Orange.
Rudy - 2-2 draw
(Record: 3-4)
Houston desperately needs to take care of business at home and turn Shell Energy Stadium into a true advantage. While San Diego comes in winless in six, this has all the makings of a trap game given the level of talent they still carry, especially in the final third. I expect a fair amount of rotation with matches piling up, and it feels like a game that ultimately ends with both sides sharing the points.
Joey - 2-2 draw
(Record: 2-2)
San Diego desperately need a get-right game after conceding four to RSL on the weekend. Expect both teams to really go for it as neither are in the positions they want to be in currently. However, if Bryce Duke starts at right back again for San Diego, my prediction is 4-2 Dynamo.
Dustyn - 1-1 draw
(Record: 2-5)
The Dynamo need to start picking up points in threes. But, the match schedule is so busy that Ben Olsen and the staff are going to have to keep rotating players. San Diego comes into this match in poor form but they won at Shell Energy Stadium. This has all the makings of two teams going about their business midweek and leaving with a point each.
Manny - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record 2-5)
With a quick turnaround following their win over Orlando, this is an ideal moment for the Dynamo to keep their momentum going. That victory should provide a boost in confidence for the squad. San Diego, meanwhile, hasn’t had the strongest start to the season and has been leaking goals. The Dynamo have the firepower to score and control the match if they can avoid costly mistakes.
Juan - 1-1 draw
(Record 5-2)
Houston got a vital away win against Orlando, and San Diego have struggled in recent games. However, questions still remain regarding Jack McGlynn’s fitness and what the Dynamo want to do in their out-of-possession shape.
Dynastats - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record 5-2)
The Dynamo have a great chance to build some momentum against a struggling San Diego side. With the added depth in this squad this year, the Dynamo look much more equipped for midweek games like these, and will score multiple goals to bring their winning streak to 3 games.
