HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN
On the result:
“Their quality is high level, and we gave them a good game. The group gave everything and created a bunch of chances against one of the better teams in the tournament. I am pleased with this kind of performance overall. I know it is strange to say since the scoreline did not go our way. But again, I am proud of the way we came back into the game and leveled it. The scoreline is a learning lesson for the group and for the few young guys that were out there playing against a high-level team.”
On Brooklyn Raines:
“I thought he had a very strong game on both sides of the ball. He broke up a lot of plays and he was calm on the ball, which is what I like so much about his game. If you are an eight or a midfielder, you have to be calm and make plays. You have to provide and open up your range of passing, and these areas that will take Brooklyn to the next level. Performances like this will give him confidence to do more of that, so he was certainly a bright spot today. Now, I do not think about whether or not to put him in the lineup, which goes to show his development over the last couple of months being a true starter in the league.”
