Bayou City Soccer Podcast: DP Drought in Houston

Welcome back to the Bayou City Soccer Podcast! This week, the guys are joined by Leenser Thomas, aka DynaStats, to break down a busy two-game stretch for the Houston Dynamo.

Houston opened the week on a high note with a midweek win over San Diego, then hit the road for a tough result against Texas rivals Austin FC. A big portion of the discussion centers on the scoring drought from two of the team’s highest-paid players, DP forwards Ezequiel Ponce and Mateusz Bogusz, who have combined for just one goal and one assist through nine regular-season matches.

The episode wraps up with a look ahead to the upcoming U.S. Open Cup clash against Louisville City, asking whether Houston can avoid a cup upset, and DynaStats gives his take on the best possible lineup based on current availability heading into this weekend’s matchup with the Colorado Rapids.

All that and much more in this episode!
