Welcome back to the Bayou City Soccer Podcast! This week, the guys are joined by Juan Pereira to break down the Houston Dynamo’s tough 1–0 loss to Seattle.
For long stretches, Houston looked like the better side—doing well to limit the Sounders’ attack while creating several promising chances of their own. Unfortunately, none of those opportunities found the back of the net. Seattle, on the other hand, capitalized on one key moment and made it count, securing the win on a rainy night.
While the players put in a strong overall performance, there’s a sense that Ben Olsen could have done more tactically to influence the outcome before Seattle’s decisive moment—though, of course, hindsight is always 20/20.
Looking ahead, Houston prepares to take on the Rapids, while Houston Dynamo 2 returns to action this weekend, kicking off a challenging 10-game road trip against Austin FC II.
