Bayou City Soccer Announces Partnership with Senate Avenue Brewing Company

We are less then 24 hours away from the end date that SB Nation marked down for Dynamo Theory. Receiving the news was a massive blow for us, mainly because it came out of nowhere. We found ourselves being in our feelings for a good solid ten minutes before the team started to brainstorm ideas on how we could continue to do what we enjoyed doing at Dynamo Theory. And to be quite honest, you, our fans, our readers, our listeners, your support and kind words gave us the push to keep going and hit the throttle. It just took 3 days for us to launch Bayou City Soccer.

Becoming an independent entity was something we had briefly discussed in the past. We wanted to be more involved in the community that we love and being under the umbrella of SB Nation made that a difficult thing to achieve. We would get questions regarding merchandise or sponsorships, and we couldn’t make it happen. However, now the possibilities are endless.

Senate Avenue Brewery Company’s owner Andrew was one of the first people that reached out as soon as the news broke out about Dynamo Theory going under. Andrew told us how he had been following us for a long time and that he wanted to be a part of wherever we planned to do next. Talking to him, we quickly learn that he is a big Dynamo fan and has been a season ticket holder for over 10 years. For us, this was one of the biggest things we were looking at when in a partner, someone interested and invested in the home team. Andrew loves the club and the fans. Senate Avenue Brewing recently hosted an official Houston Dynamo event where head coach Ben Olsen held a Q&A with the fans. Andrew is also a Tottenham Hotspur fan, but we won’t touch on that today. Let’s just say he’s probably numb to pain by now. Ha! But in all seriousness, we are extremely excited for this partnership.

Who is Senate Avenue Brewing Company?

Senate Avenue Brewing Company is a community owned nanobrewery and taphouse serving the neighborhood of Jersey Village. They have plenty of thirst-quenching craft beer on tap to pair with their delicious full-service kitchen fare. It is a perfect place to bring the entire family out to enjoy a good afternoon. Or if it’s just you and your pup, stop by! They are located at 16000 Dillard Dr. Suite F, Jersey Village, TX 77040. Open daily, check out their website for times.

Bayou City Soccer will call Senate Avenue Brewing Company its home base staring this season. We plan to have a few away day parties there and record a few live episodes of our podcast as well. We hope that you, our fans, would be a part of every event that we host at Senate Avenue and hope that you continue to show support to them even when we aren’t there. It’s so important to continue supporting soccer and the independent media that follow it in Houston and across the country. One big way to do that is to show love to the companies who are helping make that possible! Follow Senate Avenue Brewing Company’s social media accounts and follow us for more information regarding the upcoming get togethers. A few of our Bayou City Soccer members will be out there this Saturday for the Dynamo vs New England Revolution match. Come hang out!
