The Houston Dash will look to build off of last season’s second half as they take the field for the 2026 season. We now know what the new season will look like as the NWSL released the full 2026 regular season schedule today.
You can see the full 2026 schedule for the Dash here.
With the full schedule now out, what are 5 games to look forward to in 2026? Let’s take a look.
Saturday, March 21 vs Boston Legacy FC
The Dash welcome one of the league’s newest teams, Boston Legacy FC, to Shell Energy Stadium for the home opener. This match will also see the return of Katy’s Barbara Olivieri who was traded to Boston last year and spent the second half of 2025 on loan with Tigres in Mexico.
Sunday May 31 at NJ/NY Gotham FC
Gotham got into the playoffs as the 7th seed but, much like they did in 2023, made a run in the playoffs to capture the NWSL Championship. Former Dash interim head coach Juan Carlos Amoros is building a bit of a juggernaut in Jersey and this will be a big test for Houston. Although Gotham won the title last season, Houston did win in their visit to Sports Illustrated Stadium in 2025.
Saturday, August 8 vs Kansas City Current
The Current had their 17 match unbeaten streak snapped at Shell Energy Stadium last season when the Dash made a big statement with a 1-0 win in their 2025 home finale. The reigning NWSL Shield Champions have a new head coach, Chris Armas, and will make their first trip to Houston since that defeat.
Wednesday, August 19 vs Chicago Stars FC
August is very busy for the Dash with 6 matches scheduled. This midweek clash with Chicago will be the return of two fan favorites, Ryan Gareis and Michelle Alozie. Gareis signed with Chicago as a free agent and Alozie joined her in the Windy City via trade.
Sunday, November 1 vs Portland Thorns FC
The Dash ended the 2025 season against Portland, on November 2. That game was in Portland. The final regular season match of 2026 will also be against the Thorns, this time at Shell Energy Stadium. Will the Dash be a playoff team by this point? Or fighting to get in on the season’s final day?
