The Houston Dash head into this weekend’s matchup looking to bounce back after a humbling home defeat to Angel City FC in their last match. Plagued by injuries, interim head coach Fabrice Gautrat was forced to shuffle his starting lineup, disrupting the team’s rhythm and exposing their lack of depth.
Now, the Dash face an even tougher test: a red-hot Kansas City Current side that has picked up right where they left off last season. The Current have stormed out of the gates with four straight wins, outscoring their opponents 10-1 and establishing themselves once again as one of the NWSL’s elite teams.
