Enemy Scouting Report - Racing Louisville FC

The Houston Dash are riding the momentum of their first home victory of the season — a hard-fought contest ultimately decided by a spectacular long-range strike from Delaine Sheehan. Her goal from outside the box sealed a crucial win for Houston. Now, Fabrice Gautrat and his squad will aim to build on that success and attempt to secure back-to-back victories when Racing Louisville visits Shell Energy Stadium on Friday night.
Racing Louisville is a club still working to establish a strong foundation and lasting reputation since joining the NWSL. Much like the Dash, they’ve faced their share of challenges in a competitive league landscape. This season, Louisville has recorded just one win so far, but they boast a number of players capable of influencing the game — players Houston must contain to secure another positive result.
Defensive midfielder Taylor Flint anchors Louisville’s midfield with relentless energy and sharp tactical awareness. She breaks up opposition attacks and helps transition play quickly. If she controls the center of the field, Houston’s attack will find it harder to gain rhythm.
Attacking midfielder Savannah DeMelo is the creative spark for Louisville. Her vision, precise passing, and ability to slip between lines make her dangerous in the final third. Houston’s defense will need to stay compact to limit her influence.
Winger Kayla Fischer brings pace and directness on the flank. Her speed and dribbling ability allow her to stretch defenses and deliver dangerous crosses. If Fischer finds space, she can create real problems for the Dash backline.
