Jane Campbell – 8.5 (Player of the Match)
An outstanding performance in goal, Campbell made several crucial saves to deny San Diego and anchored the defense with authority.
Avery Patterson – 8
Patterson was influential in midfield. She drove the team forward with energy and composure on the ball, as she does so often.
Natalie Jacobs – 7
Jacobs was steady at the back. She was reliable in challenges and consistent throughout the match.
Paige Nielsen – 8
Nielsen was commanding in the back. She won key duels and provided leadership. Her block in front of goal was one of the best you’ll see this season, anywhere.
Allysha Chapman – 7
Solid defensively, Chapman kept things tight on the flank and showed good positioning against the Wave’s wide threats.
Danielle Colaprico – 7.5
Colaprico controlled the rhythm in midfield. Her link up play was effective and helped Houston stay organized.
Maggie Graham – 7.5
Energetic and sharp, Graham worked well both on and off the ball to push Houston’s attack and press high. Her one-time cross for the assist on the third goal showed her skill in adding to the offense.
Delanie Sheehan – 7
Sheehan worked tirelessly in midfield. She supported defensively and also contributed to attacking transitions.
Kiki Van Zanten – 7.5
Van Zanten provided width and attacking intent. She created problems for San Diego’s defense with her direct play. She assisted Larisey’s goal with a good pass to the center of the box.
Yazmeen Ryan – 8
Ryan was a constant creative outlet playing out of the middle for long stretches. She scored the second goal to extend Houston’s lead, showing her attacking quality once again.
Clarissa Larisey - 8
Marked her first start for the Dash, Larisey scored her first goal for the club to cap a lively performance full of energy and attacking intent. Her assist to Ryan showed her confidence and ability to create as well as score.
Substitutes
Messiah Bright - 7
Bright made her impact off the bench by scoring the third and final goal, sealing an emphatic win for Houston.
Sarah Puntigam - 6.5
Puntigam helped maintain balance in midfield after coming on. She kept possession moving and provided defensive stability.
Michelle Alozie - 6
Alozie showed pace and effort but had limited impact in the final third.
Ryan Gareis and Sophie Schmidt - N/A
Neither player was on the field long enough to influence the game, however Schmidt’s ability to play as a 9 at this stage in her career is beyond impressive.
