The Houston Dash suffered another home loss, losing 4-1 to Denver Summit FC on Saturday. Let’s take a look at how everyone performed.

Starters

Jane Campbell - 4

Campbell endured a rough night as Houston conceded four goals at home. She made a few routine saves and tried to organize the defense, but Denver consistently found dangerous spaces and quality chances throughout the match.

Leah Klenke - 4

Klenke struggled defensively, especially against Yazmeen Ryan, who caused problems all night in her return to Houston. Klenke had difficulty handling the pace and movement out wide and offered limited impact going forward.

Malia Berkley - 5

Berkely had a mixed performance in central defense. She made a few solid recoveries and clearances, but Houston’s backline struggled to stay organized against Denver’s attack.

Paige Nielsen - 5

Nielsen brought physicality and leadership defensively, but Houston still looked vulnerable throughout the match. She competed well aerially and tried to keep the backline organized.

Avery Patterson - 6

Patterson had a steady performance and focused more on defensive responsibilities. She was very conservative and rarely attacked the box, prioritizing stability on her side.

Kat Rader - 6.5

Rader brought energy to the attack and combined well at times in the final third. She remained active throughout the match, even as Houston struggled offensively.

Danielle Colaprico - 7

Colaprico delivered a strong shift in midfield and helped Houston control possession at times. After moving out wide in the second half, she was not nearly as effective as she had been centrally.

Maggie Graham - 7

Graham was one of Houston’s better performers and calmly converted her penalty kick. She stayed active in midfield and helped move possession forward despite Houston’s struggles overall.

Linda Ullmark - 6

Ullmark worked hard in midfield and helped circulate possession, though she struggled to consistently create dangerous opportunities in the final third.

Clarissa Larisey - 5.5

Larisey had a frustrating night with a few wasted opportunities early in the game. Her movement created some danger, but the final product was missing.

Kate Faasse - 5

Faasse struggled to connect consistently with the midfield and never fully settled into the match. She also wasted a couple of promising attacking moments.

Substitutes

Cate Hardin - 5.5

Hardin brought energy off the bench and worked hard defensively, though she was unable to make a major impact on the game.

Sarah Puntigam - 6

Puntigam added composure in midfield and helped stabilize possession after coming on.

Lisa Boattin - 6

Boattin provided width and looked comfortable on the ball, trying to push Houston forward late in the match.

Emina Ekic - 5.5

Ekic had a few lively moments after entering but struggled to consistently influence the attack.

Messiah Bright - N/A

Bright came on too late to make much of an impact as Houston were already heavily chasing the match.

Head Coach

Fabrice Gautrat - 4

Gautrat rotated his squad midweek against Utah to keep the team fresh for Denver Summit, but Houston still looked sluggish and disorganized. Injuries to Makenzy Robbe and Kiki Van Zanten continue to hurt the attack, and the lack of goals from open play is becoming a growing concern.
