The Houston Dash finish the 2026 season today at Shell Energy Stadium. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against Portland Thorns.
Rudy - 2-2 draw
(Record: 6-8)
The Houston Dash put a stamp on what once felt like a historic start, only for it to turn into another playoff-less season under an interim head coach. But with this being their last dance in front of their home fans, I expect Houston to leave everything on the field and do whatever it takes to avoid going out with a loss.
Dustyn - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 8-6)
It’s been a rough 2026 for the Dash but they have the chance to send the home fans into the offseason on a positive note. However, Portland is looking to secure points and head into the playoffs in good form.
Manny - 1-0 Dash win
(Record: 6-8)
The Dash are out of the playoffs and Portland would like to win to get a better seed. When the Dash are done and out, they usually come back and surprise us. I won’t be surprised if they shook up the league again like last season when they won against KC.
Joey -no pick
(Record: 4-6)
Diego - 2-1 Dash win
(Record: 6-5)
Houston has one last opportunity for three points in front of a very patient crowd, and also a chance to throw some chaos into the playoff picture. At this point it’s for pride, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this Dash team can shock some people.
