The Houston Dash return home for an important matchup on Friday night against Racing Louisville. While Racing’s results have been mixed to start the season, they’ve shown they have dangerous attacking pieces and a strong midfield presence that can create problems. Here are three Lousiville players to watch in tomorrow’s match.

Emma Sears

Sears has been one of Racing’s most dangerous players early on, contributing both goals and assists. She operates out wide, using her pace and direct style to take on defenders and create chances. She’s always looking to get forward and deliver into the box, so Houston will need to limit her space and keep her from getting comfortable on the ball. She missed last week’s game with an injury but looks ready to return for this match up.

Kayla Fischer

Fischer brings energy and movement to Racing’s attack. She’s active up top, constantly making runs and getting involved in buildup play. Fischer can both finish chances and create for others, making her a well-rounded threat. The Dash defense will need to stay organized and track her movement throughout the match.

Taylor Flint

Flint is Racing’s anchor, bringing physicality and control to the center of the pitch, whether in midfield or as a center back. She does the dirty work defensively, winning tackles and second balls, but can also push forward and contribute in attack. Houston’s midfield will need to match her intensity and be sharp in possession to avoid being overrun.
