2025 in review
Andrew Tarbell began the season as the Houston Dynamo’s starting goalkeeper and looked steady through the early stretch of matches. He featured in four games, posting one clean sheet and trying to provide continuity to a back line still finding its rhythm. Unfortunately, his season came to an abrupt end after suffering a torn ACL, cutting short any chance to build form or momentum. His absence forced the Dynamo to adjust quickly, eventually paving the way for Jonathan Bond to step into the starting role.
Moment of the season
Tarbell’s highlight came in the road draw against the Columbus Crew. In a tough away environment, he delivered a composed and disciplined performance, helping the Dynamo secure a 0–0 result. His calm presence, positioning, and timely interventions kept one of the league’s most dangerous attacks off the scoresheet—a reminder of his reliability when fully fit.
Looking forward
With his contract ending in 2025 and recovery from an ACL injury still ongoing, Tarbell is likely at the end of his time in Houston. Jonathan Bond has secured the starting role and is under contract through 2026 with an option for 2027, making it clear the club is moving forward without Tarbell as part of its long-term plans.
