HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN
On the match:
“My take on the game is that for three quarters of the game, we were pretty good. We played the game that we wanted to play. But, again, the first quarter – the first fifteen or twenty minutes – they came with a lot of energy. They were a little more desperate in how they were going about the game. Then, we fall back into giving up two goals early, and again, we’re chasing... We got back to that a little bit, which is disappointing.”
On Jack McGlynn’s return:
“It was good to get him (Jack McGlynn) 30 minutes. He looked like himself out there. He is a high-level soccer player and a guy that is going to play a key role with us as we move forward.”
HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER JACK MCGLYNN
On his return to the pitch:
“It feels really good to be back. Being injured is probably the worst thing that can happen to a player, so to be back out on the field and trying to help the team, it is a great feeling.”
On the traveling fans:
“The fans are always amazing whenever the team comes to Austin. You see a sea of orange every time you step on the field. We heard them all game and it sucks we couldn’t get a result for them, but hopefully next time we will.”
On the match:
“I believe we did not come out with the right intensity. They were kind of jumping on us from the start of the match and pushing the tempo, and that is we what we had to do, especially playing away from home and in a derby. We should have started the game a lot better and that is probably why we lost this game. They scored two early goals, one off a free kick and another one we could have prevented if we just came out a bit quicker.”
