HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On the result:

“I am thrilled for a bunch of reasons. It is our first three points on the road, we now have two clean sheet wins in a row, and we scored some great goals tonight. We were able to get those points back that they took from us earlier in the season. The guys played well over the course of the match. We had to dig in and grind a bit, but that is what road soccer is about. I am excited because this helps us build momentum going into our next three road games.”

On Griffin Dorsey’s performance:

“Griffin (Dorsey) is essentially a winger, and players in that position need to provide. Whether it is goals or assists, he has been on it. He has been having a good year, and that is exciting because, from a competitive standpoint, he gives us a lot of energy on and off the field. Griffin is a big piece of our team and to get him confident in front of goal is always a good thing.”

On the Dynamo fans who traveled:

“I want to give a shoutout to all the Dynamo fans that traveled to this match. There was a large group that came up here, and I know it is not an easy trip. It was also really nice to see orange sprinkled in the crowd. That is what you want to see in a rivalry game, and I am glad they will be going back home with a smile because of tonight’s result.”

HOUSTON DYNAMO DEFENDER GRIFFIN DORSEY

On the result:

“The result tonight was huge. It is our first road win of the season, and to do it against Dallas, who took points from us at home, it feels good. Also, earning back-to-back clean sheets is always something to take pride in as a team.”

On the rotation of the back line:

“A lot of guys have stepped up and done really solid jobs. Look at Pablo (Ortiz), who is still getting fully fit and has come in to play crucial minutes in some of these games in an incredibly professional way. Felipe (Andrade) is incredible. He is constantly doing the little things that really help us get clean sheets like we did tonight.”

On Jack McGlynn’s performance:

“Jack (McGlynn) is a class player, and he is a great guy in and out of the locker room. I consider him the team clown because he brings in a lot of funny and nonchalant energy that this team needs. He is special on and off the field and we have a great connection together.”
