HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN
On the result:
“We are showing that we are a pretty good road team and tough to beat, as we have earned points in three road matches this season. However, we are also disappointed because we would like to finish with three points any time we are up a goal and a man. The guys are disappointed, but that is a healthy thing. I thought we were careless with the ball, which was the real difference and story of the game. We had some good looks, including hitting the post, but we should have been able to create more chances and limit some of the transition moments that the Galaxy had.”
On the Ezequiel Ponce’s performance:
“We asked (Ezequiel Ponce) to stay patient tonight in front of goal and not drop back, which is normal for a forward when he feels he is not getting enough touches or service. I’m really happy for him and thankful that he was rewarded today. It was a very good team goal, and he was right where he needed to be. That is how he is going to score goals, and he has got to trust that we can get him in those spots.”
