On the result:
“It was a disappointing result, but LAFC are a good team at home, and they played well tonight. We were not comfortable on the ball in the first half, but we were sharp in the second half. We got control of the game and looked better on the ball. We were still toothless in front of goal, but it was a good response by the group. You cannot just play one good half here in Los Angeles and expect to get a good result. You have to play a full sharp and smart 90 minutes, while taking advantage of scoring opportunities. Unfortunately, we did not do either of those.”
On making tactical changes in the second half:
“Getting (Ondřej) Lingr a little higher and closer to goal is interesting to us, and we know (Sebastian) Kowalczyk is able to provide us with that juice out wide. (Denis) Bouanga and (David) Martinez are such a handful, the substitution for Amine (Bassi) was not based on performance, we just needed some legs to help with them and their isolations. Handling those two over the course of 90 minutes in this league is difficult if you are not at your best.”
