The Houston Dynamo leaned into their new look, staying compact defensively while picking their moments going forward. In a tight match where chances were limited, Houston did just enough, capitalizing on a key opportunity and holding on late, even after going down a man to earn a 1-0 win over San Diego FC. Let’s take a look at how everyone performed.

Bond had a strong night between the posts. He came up with multiple key saves to keep Houston in control and looked confident dealing with crosses and shots from distance. A reliable performance that helped secure the result.

Franco Negri - 7

Negri looked comfortable in his role, providing width when needed while staying disciplined defensively. A balanced performance on both sides of the ball.

Agustin Resch - 7.5

A steady outing from the veteran. Antonio Carlos handled his defensive responsibilities well, winning duels and stepping in to break up plays when needed. His presence helped keep things organized.

Felipe Andrade - 7

Andrade delivered a solid defensive performance, staying composed under pressure and contributing with timely clearances. He kept things simple and helped maintain structure along the back line.

Aliyu Ibrahim - 7.5

Aliyu made the difference. His movement off the ball created problems, and he took his chance well to score what proved to be the winning goal. A decisive performance.

Samassékou did the dirty work in midfield, breaking up play and helping disrupt the opponent’s rhythm. Not flashy, but effective in protecting the back line.

Agustin Bouzat - 7

Bouzat was active throughout, helping connect play and cover ground in midfield. He contributed defensively while also pushing forward when opportunities opened up.

Mateusz Bogusz - 7.5

Ondrej Lingr - 7

Lingr brought energy and determination, which played a key role in setting up Aliyu’s goal. His persistence paid off in the buildup. His night ended on a sour note, however, after a late red card for retaliation.

Head Coach

Ben Olsen - 8
