Can the Houston Dynamo go on the road and pick up another three points? We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against Sporting Kansas City.
Cristian - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 8-6)
The offense is playing well for the Dynamo and if Mateusz Bogusz, Guilherme, and company can catch the groove once again, it could be another great result for the Orange.
Rudy - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 3-12)
Houston made a statement with last week’s 3-0 win over Austin. Now comes a potential trap game against the Western Conference’s last-place team, Sporting Kansas City. The Dynamo can’t overlook the small details, especially containing Dejan Joveljić, who has a knack for scoring against them. Still, I think Houston does enough to earn a road victory.
Joey - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-5)
SKC have had a rough start to the year while the Dynamo find themselves on a major high after destroying Austin last week. Expect the Dynamo to win but it won’t be easy, as MLS road games never are.
Dustyn - 3-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 4-11)
It’s never easy going on the road in Major League Soccer but this is a game the Dynamo should be winning. I think they get the job done and remain hot after the victory last weekend over Austin.
Manny - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record 4-10)
With a strong performance last weekend against Austin, the Dynamo are finally getting their pieces together to make a push for the top spot in the West. SKC are having struggles on their own but still have weapons that can hurt any MLS side. If Houston can do what they did against Austin, it will be a comfortable three points for the Dynamo.
Juan - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record 7-8)
I think this defense is beginning to gel and become a fierce unit in MLS. Houston’s showing on offense was good against Austin, but can they get some consistency out of the weapons at their disposal? This game could change the narrative regarding Houston’s offensive firepower.
Dynastats - 2-2 draw
(Record 8-7)
The Dynamo have struggled defensively in away games this year, but I think they have enough offensive firepower to grab a point at a poor SKC.
