Lawrence Ennali’s strike gave the Dynamo three points at home with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids. Let’s take a look at how everyone performed.

Starters

Jonathan Bond - 8

A calm and commanding night from Bond, who finished with a clean sheet and a couple of crucial interventions. His two standout saves came at key moments, denying Colorado any real foothold in the match. Beyond the shot-stopping, his distribution was tidy and helped Houston manage the tempo late on.

Lawrence Ennali - 8.5

A game-changing performance. Ennali was electric on the wing, constantly threatening with his pace and directness. His night peaked with a stunning long-range strike that gave Houston the edge, a moment of quality that ultimately defined the match.

Antonio Carlos - 7.5

Reliable on both ends of the pitch, Antonio Carlos balanced defensive responsibilities with timely forward runs. He was efficient in possession and helped stretch the field, while also tracking back well to neutralize wide threats.

Agustin Resch - 7.5

Another composed performance at the back. Resch read the game well, stepping in to break up plays and staying strong in duels. His passing out of the back line helped Houston avoid unnecessary pressure.

Felipe Andrade - 7.5

A commanding defensive performance and one of the standout outings of the night. Andrade was essentially unbreakable, consistently winning duels, reading danger early, and shutting down attacking lanes before they could develop. He showed excellent composure under pressure, rarely put a foot wrong in possession, and was a major reason the back line held firm for the clean sheet. A true “locked in” defensive display from start to finish.

Jack McGlynn - 6.5

Still working his way back to full sharpness, McGlynn put in a solid 64-minute shift. He showed glimpses of his vision and passing range, helping link play in midfield before being subbed off as part of load management.

Artur - 6.5

A steady presence in midfield, keeping things simple and recycling possession effectively. Artur did the little things right, helping maintain structure without necessarily standing out.

Diadie Samassékou - 7

The engine room of the team. Samassékou handled the dirty work, breaking up plays, winning second balls, and shielding the back line. His effort allowed others to push forward with confidence.

Mateusz Bogusz - 7

An active presence in attacking areas, Bogusz looked to connect the midfield to the front line. He found pockets of space and contributed creatively, even if the final product didn’t always come off.

Guilherme - 7.5

The most dangerous player in Houston’s attack on the night. Guilherme consistently pushed defenders back with his movement and willingness to take players on. Even when he didn’t score, he created problems that opened space for others.

Ezequiel Ponce - 5.5

Ponce showed improvement in hold-up play, linking well with teammates when facing his own goal. However, the lack of goals in league play continues to loom large. The opportunities are there, but the finishing touch is still missing and it’s starting to weigh.

Substitutes

Hector Herrera - 6

Came on to help manage the game and bring composure in midfield. Herrera kept possession ticking and added experience in closing out the match.

Agustin Bouzat - 6.5

Injected energy off the bench, pressing well and offering fresh legs in attacking transitions. A positive cameo that helped Houston maintain pressure.

Ondrej Lingr - N/A

Limited minutes, but showed intent with his movement and positioning. Not enough time to fully influence the match.

Aliyu Ibrahim - N/A

Another late introduction. Brought pace and directness, helping stretch the defense in the closing moments.

Head Coach

Ben Olsen - 7

Olsen once again leaned into squad rotation and in-game adjustments to grind out a result. This wasn’t about dominating possession. It was about discipline, structure, and timing. Think vintage Floyd Mayweather: absorb pressure, stay calculated, and land the decisive blow. Defensively, the team remains organized and difficult to break down. The attack still lacks consistent chance creation, but on this night, they found just enough and that’s all that matters.
