The latest edition of the Texas Derby takes place tonight at Shell Energy Stadium. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against FC Dallas.
Cristian - 3-2 Dynamo win
(Record: 13-8)

You don’t just play derbies, you win them.
Hopefully that mentallity is the one the team comes out to play with tonight, against a strong FC Dallas side. I believe we’ll see a match with many goals with the home advantage giving the Dynamo the win by the end of the 90 minutes.
Rudy - 3-2 Dynamo loss
(Record: 6-16)
Houston created plenty of chances against San Diego, giving me hope they can beat a very good Dallas team and put the game away early. But we haven’t seen that consistency. In big home games, the Dynamo have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot, and I have a feeling we might see more of the same tonight.
Joey - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 8-8)
Dallas are continuing their hot form as they have now jumped the Dynamo in the table. I expect them to keep doing so with the Dynamo having no answers for Petar Musa as they will struggle against their compact defense.
Dustyn - 2-2 draw
(Record: 8-14)
Houston’s offense is coming to life but the defense is starting to concede more and more. Dallas, in particular Petar Musa, can score with the best of them and I think FCD comes in here and takes a point, and El Capitan.
Manny - 1-1 draw
(Record 7-13)
After a crazy draw against San Diego, the Dynamo face a red hot Dallas side that may be among the favorites for MLS Cup. A derby can go anywhere with raw emotions involved in this match. Dynamo and Dallas have a lot at stake in this. All I can say it will be a gritty match.

With playoff implications on the line, I see the Dynamo getting a big win at home against their rivals off a late winner. The Texas Derby never disappoints and I think that tonight will become another instant classic for Dynamo fans.
