HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On the match:

“It was a back-and-forth game. They are a good team, and what they do is really effective in this league. They pushed us to the limit. You can see why they are in that high position. They are a tough team to beat, and they are physical. But overall, I was really pleased with our performance, and in particular, in what was the third game in one week.”

On honoring Dynamo legend Brian Ching:

“Brian (Ching) and I roomed together once with the national team, so I got to know him there as a person, rather than that guy that just scored against us at D.C. United. He was a monster. Brian is a great ambassador for this club and the Houston community. I got him in front of the team yesterday to congratulate him on both of his well-deserved honors, and it was nice to hear him speak about our group and that he resonates with us and likes what we are doing here.”

On the stadium atmosphere:

"The fans were great tonight, and that is what hurts the most. We didn't send them home happy tonight."

HOUSTON DYNAMO ATTACKER MATEUSZ BOGUSZ

On scoring:

"It feels nice scoring a goal, but earning the three points tonight is more important to me. It was a tough match. We have dropped a couple of points in our last few games, but I can tell that the guys are giving everything they have on the field. Unfortunately, tonight, that is just the way it goes sometimes."

On creating more chances:

"It all comes down to focus. When this team gets going, you can see how well we defend and attack as a unit. But we have to start games the right way and avoid conceding easy goals. The goal we gave up today was a little unlucky, but we still have to do better in those situations. Heading into the next match, we need to be focused from the very first minute and set the right tone from the start."

On the team’s effort:

"It is a collective effort. Everyone knows what we are capable of, and we have shown that several times this season by coming back from deficits, whether it's 1-0 or 2-0. But that is not the point, because we can't always expect to come back from behind. We have to address that by staying focused from the very first minute, whether we are playing at home or on the road. It's about staying united, trusting our game plan, and playing our style of soccer from the start."
