Houston Dynamo vs LA Galaxy player ratings

The Houston Dynamo let victory slip away late in a 1-1 draw against the LA Galaxy. Let’s take a look at how everyone performed.
Starters
Jonathan Bond - 7
Bond made three saves before being beaten in stoppage time for the equalizer. The Englishman has been one of the most steady contributors for the Dynamo this season.
Griffin Dorsey - 6
Dorsey only completed just over 50% of his passes but he did create two shots. It was a quiet game for Griffin’s standard.
Antonio Carlos - 7
He returned from his injury to put in a solid 90 minute shift, which was desperately needed with Erik Sviatchenko out once again. He had an impressive 9 clearances in the match.
Ethan Bartlow - 7
Bartlow stepped into the starting lineup for Sviatchenko. Bartlow had a team high 3 blocks and added 2 interceptions.
Felipe Andrade - 6.5
Felipe had 7 progressive passes, impressive for a fullback. His defense still is shaky at times but he is turning into a quality MLS player.
Artur - 6.5
The captain put in a good shift but the team fell apart late again. That’s not Artur’s fault but he’s the captain and is the one that has to answer for it, fair or not.
Junior Urso - 7
As a veteran signing, Urso has done exactly what has been expected of him this season, filling in when needed and playing at a good level.
Lawrence Ennali - 7
Ennali still wasn’t great in his 1v1 game but he drove the ball forward and linked up a lot of passes. This is the Ennali the Dynamo need more of down the stretch.
Duane Holmes - 5
With Jack McGlynn out, Holmes got into the starting lineup. It’s tough to replace a USMNT player (even though Holmes does have 2 USMNT caps), but no shot-creating actions and 60% pass completion was a rough night.
Ondrej Lingr - 7.5 (Player of the Match)
Once again, Lingr was the best player on the field for Houston this week. He assisted the goal and had 4 progressive passes with an overall pass completion percentage of 91.3%. He is becoming the 10 the Dynamo have needed.
Ezequiel Ponce - 7.5
Goals in back to back games is great for Ponce’s confidence. His runs have looked so good in the last two matches, including the one in this match to cut inside his defender and score.
Substitutes
Pablo Ortiz - 6
Ortiz came on for Bartlow and was solid, until the final moments of the match.
Amine Bassi - 5
I have been a big proponent of Bassi’s for quite a while. But, with the emergence of Lingr and some regression from Bassi, he just doesn’t add much to this team any more.
Femi Awodesu and Sebastian Kowalczyk - N/A
Both came on for stoppage time. We know how that ended up. Kowalczyk gave the ball away in the final moments when the Dynamo could have taken it into the attacking end and killed off the game. And Femi is showing he should not be on a MLS field.
Head Coach
Ben Olsen - 6
Olsen had this team set up to win on Saturday but the inability to get a second goal and falling asleep on defense at the last moment cost them dearly.
