On the match:
“We are thrilled for (Mateusz Bogusz). It was nice that he could come in and take the ball on his left foot and score. It was a wonderful goal at a wonderful moment in the game. Once Guilherme's goal went in, which was another special goal, we dropped off too much and were passive. We were not provoking in the way that we needed to. That allowed them to push us back in a way that we kind of deserved to get scored on. We rode our luck there. But to have the resiliency there to pull something out of this game was impressive because they are a tough and gritty team. It is always a battle when we play Salt Lake, and we are absolutely thrilled with the three points.”
On playing against a team that matches them defensively:
“The tempo in the first half was a little bit slow, and it was frustrating, but it was necessary. It is hard to break down a block like that when they are that committed to it. We found a couple of moments in the first half, but it was hard to break them down. We know they are a good low block, mid-block team. It was going to take patience and something special, and we came up with two of those tonight.”
On Lawrence Ennali’s performance:
“We just kind of expect it of (Lawrence Ennali). The amount we ask of him is as difficult as anybody on the field, with the volume up and down, attacking and getting in the box. But also defending in a four-back is challenging. It takes lungs, and it takes youth. Griffin Dorsey did it here for a long time, and Lawrence has really learned the art of defending in a lot of ways. We know he has pace, attacking and technical qualities to help us on the offensive end. We have also thrown him to the left, the right and up high. He is a guy we know we can move around depending on the opposition.”

On scoring:
“I am proud of my goal. I had two other chances as well, but I am happy about tonight. I needed this goal. I feel like I am playing well and that the team is playing well too. I hope to keep scoring to help the team."
On matching up against a similar defensive team:
“We defend well and can be dangerous on the counterattack. In the first half, I believe we kept the ball for almost 45 minutes, allowing us to control the match, attack and play whatever style we want. I am proud of this team. We always talk about who scores, but we also have to talk about the guys that defend. Thanks to them, we did not concede a goal in the past two matches, and we only conceded one goal tonight. We all did an amazing job, and we are a good, collective group. We finally figured out how to play together."
On the team’s success after the World Cup:
"We finally understand who we are. The first four or five months we struggled because we were, not angry, but frustrated, and we defended a lot. But now, we understand that we can defend well, and then after that, we can have the ball. So, we can play either way. Like last game, in the first half we had the ball, but in the second half we had more defending to do. It is key for this group to understand who we are and how we can play. That is why we are having a lot of success. But we still have 10 games left, so there are still a lot of points to earn. We have to keep going.”
