Houston Dynamo vs Real Salt Lake staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will look for their first win in three weeks as they return to Shell Energy Stadium tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against Real Salt Lake.

Cristian - 3-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 11-7)

This is a good opportunity to pounce on a Real Salt Lake team that is not having their best run of form this season. It is also a good opportunity to rotate players and hopefully see some Duncan McGuire goals.

Rudy - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 4-15)

Houston Dynamo’s defense has been elite since that 3-0 loss to tonight’s opponent, Real Salt Lake. And while we could see some personnel changes, including Felipe Andrade missing through suspension, I still think Houston finds a way to get the win in front of the home crowd. Even if it takes just one goal to do it.

Joey - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 7-6)

The Dynamo are a much more complete team than RSL are at this point in the season. RSL has yet to overcome the loss of Zavier Gozo, so the Dynamo should have a relatively comfortable game defensively. They have just got to finish off the chances better than the last two games.

Dustyn - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 5-14)

The Dynamo have been great defensively while struggling to score goals on the other end. Real Salt Lake comes into this match in poor form, giving Houston the perfect chance to get back on track. I think they do just that with three points tonight.

Manny - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record 6-11)

Even without a clinical number 9, this Dynamo side is a well oiled machine compared to RSL. Salt Lake has interesting pieces but still can be outrun in the midfield with key player Zavier Gozo leaving over the summer. The Dynamo need the three points and momentum going into the final stretch of the season.

Juan - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record 8-9)

Real Salt Lake have just not been good at all recently, and the Dynamo have been undergoing the toughest part of their schedule. It’s time for some of the questions regarding Houston’s offensive capabilities to be put to rest.  With Felipe Andrade out and Marcelo Saracchi questionable, the full back position is a bit of a concern, and I don’t expect Houston to come away with a clean sheet.

Dynastats - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record 8-11)

The Dynamo play a weak RSL team that hasn’t won an MLS game since the World Cup break. I think the Dynamo, and their main man Guilherme, will get back to winning form.
