HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On the result:

"This Dynamo team is not going to quit. This is not a quitting team, and everybody is still giving everything. But if you give up two goals quickly like that, and you are not able to grind a little, the game is over. We created some chances in the second half, and the guys worked hard, but it was a poor start, and that is disappointing."

On Jack McGlynn:

“Jack (McGlynn) has been great. He plays at a really high level, and he has proven to be a real provider for the team in a lot of ways, especially on set pieces and open play services. We are happy to have him.”

On the Season 20 Celebration:

“The Houston Dynamo are a wonderful organization, and I have a lot of respect for those past teams. They were a great group of guys with a lot of personalities, and Pat (Onstad) has done a great job of treasuring that and keeping that culture here. Not all clubs do that. The Dynamo alumni all have a special bond with each other, and it was nice to see that.”

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER JACK MCGLYNN

On his assist:

“It feels good to get the assist, but we did not get three points. That is what matters. It was a tough game. The atmosphere was great, and it was unfortunate to let the fans down.”

On his shifting midfield position:

“I am a lot closer to the goal, which allows me make plays and create a lot of chances for the team. It has suited me well, and I hope it translates to some results.”

On the mentality for the upcoming matches:

“It is about forgetting this game and focusing on the next. The team knows we need three points, and we know where we are in the standings. We just have to keep pushing and start focusing on Wednesday’s match.”

On Toyosi Olusanya’s debut:

“Off the field, (Toyosi Olusanya) is a bright and happy guy. He is now available to play with us, and he came on and did a good job tonight. The team is really looking forward to having him.”

On Ondrej Lingr:

“(Ondřej Lingr) has done a great job since he got here. He scored two amazing goals, and that helped the team. It helps me in the midfield because he is a guy who can run in behind, so I am able to stretch the field. It has been a good connection so far and I hope it keeps going from here.”
