Do It Again
It’s a broken record at this point, the Dynamo need to win. San Diego comes into this match leading the Western Conference, but Houston has given them one of their losses this season. The Dynamo beat San Diego 4-3 in Southern California earlier this year. Houston played without Jack McGlynn in that match and will be missing him again tonight after their star playmaker suffered a foot injury that ended his season. Can the Dynamo conjure up another upset and take down San Diego for a second time in 2025?
Scoreboard Watching
The Dynamo come into this match in 12th place in the Western Conference but are just two points behind 9th place San Jose. Along with a win tonight, the Dynamo could use some help around the league. Dallas and Salt Lake sit in 9th and 10th. Dallas hosts the LA Galaxy tonight and Salt Lake hosts their rival, Colorado. 9th place San Jose plays tomorrow, a tough away trip against Vancouver. An ideal scenario for Dynamo fans would be wins by Houston, the LA Galaxy, Salt Lake, and Vancouver. So there’s your rooting guide for this weekend.
Out of Nowhere
In their first season in Major League Soccer, San Diego have taken the league by storm. They look a longshot now to win the Supporters Shield but still sit at the top of the Western Conference, with a tiebreaker over Vancouver. If there was ever a time to catch them, it could be tonight. San Diego is winless in their last three, with just one point from those matches. Anders Dreyer is an MVP candidate and Mexican star Hirving Lozano provides SDFC with a one-two punch on the wings. Now, it’s up to the Dynamo to slow them down and get the much-needed three points.
