Three Players to Watch: San Diego Wave

The Houston Dash are back at home tonight looking to end their winless run of form. Here are three San Diego Wave players to keep an eye on in the match.
Kenza Dali
The veteran French midfielder is the heartbeat of this team. When she gets going, the whole team benefits from her output. Despite having just two assists this season, her contribution to the Wave side is much more than that. Her successful passing, chances created, and most importantly, her xG have been through the roof, and with many games left, she will be in the conversation for MVP.
Dudinha
The young Brazilian forward is having a season to remember. Last year, her midseason start was rocky, but this season is totally different. In 10 games she has contributed three goals and four assists, which already surpass her goal contributions from last season. She will thrive as each game passes. With Gabi Portilho, Ludmila, Adriana Leon, and Catarina Macario drawing attention from Dudinha, she will be a sneaky player to continue her form, unnoticed by defenders.
Mimi Van Zanten
The Jamaican rookie has been pivotal in defense for the Wave. She is suited for San Diego’s setup, a wing-back that focuses on the attack and being dangerous in the final third. So far, she has just registered one goal for the season, but with her pace, the number of shots on goal, and her passing in the 18-yard box, she is another player for defenders to try to get the ball away from.
