2025 in review

Lingr burst onto the scene with the Dynamo, scoring in his first two appearances for Houston. He scored just two more goals the rest of the seaosn with some long stretches where he had no goal contributions. Lingr played a lot on the left early but then shifted more to a 10 as Lawrence Ennali got into the lineup. Lingr’s pass completion percentage was elite but he only attempted passes in the 24th percentile. With his ability to create, and score, the Dynamo will likely plan to get him on the ball more as they prepare for 2026.

Moment of the season

Lingr came off the bench to make his debut and scored in stoppage time to equalize against the Colorado Rapids. His run across the face of his defender and header back to the back post were textbook and gave Dynamo fans a lot of excitement about their new signing.

Looking forward

Lingr will be back next season and as of now looks to be the starting 10. Lingr is currently a Designated Player but he could be bought down with Allocation Money to free up a DP spot. If the Dynamo want to go big this offseason and bring in another DP, it could be a 10, which would move Lingr back to the left to compete with Ennali. There are a lot of possibilities with Lingr heading into next season.
