The Houston Dynamo will try to get their third straight win this afternoon. We asked our staff for their predictions on the match against the New England Revolution.
Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 9-6)
This is probably the toughest match up for the Dynamo since the return to MLS play. I believe Ben Olsen has done his homework and with the players in good form, it will be a tough three points, but three points at the end of the day.
Rudy - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 4-12)
This will be a tough game for Houston, but it could also be a really good measuring stick for where this team is right now. My prediction of a Dynamo loss is mostly based on how difficult it is to play at Gillette Stadium against a talented New England squad. That said, I’m hoping we see the Dynamo be relentless, clean on the ball, and willing to make this a fight from the start. But yeah… I’m giving this one to New England.
Joey - no pick
(Record: 7-5)
Dustyn - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 5-11)
This match will go a long way in telling us how good the Dynamo are. It’s very difficult playing on the turf in New England and the Revolution are a strong side this season. I think the Revs get a late goal to steal this one.
Manny - 1-1 draw
(Record 5-10)
This is an excellent match up for Houston to test how far they have come this season. A match away against a strong New England side won’t be easy. Both New England and Houston have firepower to make any opponent struggle. I think it will be an entertaining 1-1 draw.
Juan - no pick
(Record 8-8)
Dynastats - 1-1 draw
(Record 8-8)
The Revs are a strong team at home, winning 8 of their 10 home games so far. But they have been shaky as of late, winning just 1 of their last 4 games, including draws to struggling Montreal and Toronto. I see the Dynamo coming in and grabbing a point at Gillette for the first time since 2013 off the back of another Guilherme goal
